Ole Rob the Concert Guy did not go to this show. But my buddy Scott did! So he did me a solid and shared his review. Typically I like to post right after the show, but this was unexpected so forgive me. Personally, I’ve seen both of these acts, but Sammy was before covid and Springfield was a few years ago now. So how do they sound now? Well…
June 24, 2026 – Sammy Hagar’s ‘Best of All Worlds Tour’ with Rick Springfield at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA. AKA the old Great Woods outside music theater.
To start with tickets, we were able to score $40 tickets the day of the show in the 300 section. These are those lawn level seats where you’re basically watching the screen. It’s always a good idea to check for upgrades and I’m glad we did! From 300 to the 100 section, far right side but 50 feet from the stage and a great view.

Opening Act: Surprise of the night was how good Rick Springfield was and sounded. 10 songs that most people knew and ended with the crowd singing along to Jesse’s Girl. Another surprise was when Sammy came out and sang along to I’ve Done Everything for You with a customary shot (Tequila? Rum?) by Rick and Sammy.

Sammy Hagar was next! Sammy’s band is an all-star band with the Michael Anthony (the harmonies behind Van Halen and a great voice), Joe Satriani (one of the best guitarists on the planet), and Kenny Aronoff (a world class drummer most don’t know out side the music community, but is fantastic). He also has a young keyboard player who adds to the vocal harmonies. Sammy himself is a Freak at 78 years old. He still sounds great and moves on the stage like someone half his age; amazing!

19 songs were performed and all were from the greatest hit list spanning Sammy’s career. They are not just great, but bring a sense of fun and all have a great time. Sammy is great with the crowd and signs shirts, hats etc., while interacting with the crowd; not many artists do that. The show with a new song Encore, Thank You, Good night which is a tribute to Eddie Van Halen and it rocks!
Great show and highly recommend this tour to anyone!

So there you have it! Thanks Scott!
